Copenhagen fast: Hunger pangs start at lunchtime
It's been just a few hours without eating and I'm starting to realise how difficult 24 hours without food will be. My stomach is now gurgling and I'm looking forward to a lemon tea.
But as a reminder of why this is important, a new report published in Nature states sea levels could rise by up to 9m with a 2 degrees warmer world.
2 Degrees is the current target for limiting climate change, but science suggests such warming will commit the globe to significant melting of the Greenland and western Antarctic ice sheets.
Nine meters of sea level rise could see the drowning of significant parts of Wellington, Auckland, London, New York and hundreds of other cities around the globe. Not to mention the swallowing of a few countries. Bangladesh, Netherlands, the Maldives.
Think of it. London, a 2000 year old world cultural icon, submerged within a few hundred years because politicians do not have the will to commit to the 350 parts per million (of CO2) that science demands.

Climate change is very evident and is rising at an alarming rate. The government should take a stand and make proposals regarding it.
