New look for ThisNZLife

This New Zealand Life has undergone a weekend update to give you an instant view of the latest stories.

I'VE been worried for some time that the Blog Style of one post after another, in an endless list, is not particularly good for casual browsers, and particularly for those coming to the site for the first time as a result of a web search or link from other places.

So I've created a front page with more stories but laid out in two columns so that you can see the headlines and a short explanation before you decide to read more. This means I no longer need a "recent stories" section on the left hand sidebar, and you have instant access to the last two weeks' stories neatly coinciding with the editorial calendar.

I hope you like it.
