Small lottery win donated to asthma charity
By William Knight on Jun 25, 2009 in News.
In New Zealand, over 600,000 people have a respiratory illness. One in four Kiwi kids is estimated to have asthma and it's the most common cause of hospital admission among New Zealand children.
THIS morning I woke to the happy news that commentators on This New Zealand Life had won $19 in a division four win on yesterday's Big Wednesday. This somewhat smaller sum than we'd all been hoping for, has been donated to Asthma and Respiratory Foundation of New Zealand (Inc.) P O Box 1459, Wellington, in line with editorial discretion regarding the practicalities of dividing $19 between a dozen of us.
I hope you're happy with the decision. If you really want your share then drop me a note.
Many thanks for donating the money to the asthma charity. It is a very distressing disease for the sufferer and their family and friends.
Thank you again.

Good call - we won, how wonderful is that. Just think what we could have done if we'd won the lot!
