HERE'S a couple of travel stories for New Zealand. First, in the heart of adventure land Queenstown's international airport has been predicted to expand four-fold between now and 2037 to more than two million passengers a year.

The Otago Daily Times reports negotiations for new land to accomodate the exapansion and ongoing but due to be completed shortly.

Elsewhere, Air New Zealand have plunged into the dating market with a special flight linking US with Kiwi singles.

On October 13th the American visitors will fly from Los Angeles to Auckland on a specially-themed flight, ahead of the dual Hemisphere singles' party of the year; the Great Matchmaking Ball at Auckland's SkyCity Convention Centre.

"If your dating profile says you enjoy fine wine and long walks on the beach, then New Zealand is your perfect place for romance. Plus our down-to-earth, warm and wonderful people are an added bonus," said Steve Bayliss, Air NZ's general manager for marketing.
